Apollonia Fm LITHOLOGY= Originally known as "Tocra Limestone," this bed consists of Finely crystalline limestone, chalky and siliceous, with chert nodules and faunal fossils. Modest potential as petroleum source rock. Deposited as open-marine, deep platform, and agrillaceous slope micrites. CALIBRATION = 50% up in Ypresian.
